Yuri stands at about 5'11", muscular and athletic but not especially broad-shouldered. His hair is cut in something of a ragged hime style, colored black or violet depending on which source you ask. Purple is the new black it's all good. His eyes are dark grey, and his skin is medium to pale. (See medical info below for scar details.)

He tends to wear dark colors but isn't too picky about his appearance. He keeps himself cleaned up and moderately groomed, but everyone who knows him will laugh you out of town if you expect anything more presentable than "bare minimum work casual" from him at best. If he can fight in it, he'll put up with wearing it. If not, hell no.

Regardless of the rest of what he's wearing, if he has a weapon in his possession he'll carry it with him at all times, and he always wears a thick gold bracelet on his left wrist. This bracelet is actually his Bodhi blastia, though the red jewels (cores) are now missing due to the events at the end of the game. But it's unspokenly important to him so he's not going to take it off even if it doesn't work anymore.

And yes, he does leave his shirt open down to his stomach. Yes, people have pointed it out. No, he doesn't care.

▶ AURAL: All hail the Tales series for skits where characters just chill out and talk forever! Yuri's voice is deeper than the more feminine of his features would lead you to believe, diction straightforward and plain. He doesn't waste time talking around things - something's either worth saying or it isn't - but he does have some tact when it comes to other people's feelings. If he comes across as rude and it's not teasing, it's likely that he's losing patience with the conversation and doesn't care if it bothers the person he's speaking to.

▶ OLFACTORY: Soap, leather, and a little bit of soot, probably.

[Note: please excuse the player's congenital anosmia. I'm driving pretty much blind in this category.]

▶ DEMEANOUR: Yuri somehow manages to stand up straight while seeming totally relaxed. "Effortlessly alert" may be a good way to put it. He's not necessarily always looking for a fight, but he's definitely always ready for one. He's quiet with a person until he feels he's assessed them enough to decide how to interact with them. If positive, his posture loosens up and he'll gesture more, taking on either a trolly older brother role or a smartass young man depending on the situation. If negative, his demeanor stays guarded and grows cold and still.

As a general rule of thumb, how little Yuri talks or moves is directly related to how threatened he feels at the time.

▶ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: He may act put upon because ew feelings are icky, but Yuri is pretty tolerant of platonic displays of effection. Divebomb tackle him from out of a tree for a hug, I don't care. It might turn into a wrestling match, though.

▶ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yuri loves to fight. Not just friendly sparring, either. He has been known to fight battles in which his life was in danger only to complain afterward that it wasn't difficult or dangerous enough. When he gets listless or depressed he becomes prone to picking fights over nothing with a stranger. If he hasn't gotten in a fight over something meaningful in a while, he'll start to get listless or depressed. Maybe it's a cycle.

If he has an intense disagreement with a friend that results in his feelings getting hurt, he will often throw a punch instead of talk about it. Especially if you're close friends. ...Alternatively he'll give you the cold shoulder and walk away, but neither of these options are all that constructive.

He's not actually an aggressive person by nature so much as easily agitated by inaction, though, so you'll at least know in some way, shape, or form before he makes a fight turn physical. If you pick a fight with him, he's difficult to bait with words - at least compared to when he was younger - but throw the first punch and he will drop everything to try and beat the shit out of you if he thinks it's worth his time.

▶ RELATIONSHIPS: I personally interpret Yuri as a strange kind of uninterested pansexual. He's aware of romantic or sexual overtones in a situation and he's not asexual, but romance is significantly low on his priority list. He'll play along if flirted with for fun (hi, Judy) and he definitely has some preferences that he's ashamed of (no not the kitty ears) but for the most part, even if pressed by a pursuing party, Yuri will doggedly steer clear of serious emotional committments. Not because he doesn't want them, necessarily, but that sort of thing involves less pride than he has to admit and more self-worth than he has to accept. And he's done the mutually-casual fooling around thing before. Didn't do much for him.

So yeah. Basically, Issues. Pulling teeth would be easier. By hand.

That said, I am completely open to something in this department! Just be warned that whoever tries is in for a frustrating hell rather than cute fluffy bunnies.

▶ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Nothing strange going on here, really, though anyone reading Yuri on a regular basis will quickly discover he is much more emotional and private compared to how he seems externally, with a smattering of insecurity and self-deprecation that doesn't jive with his blatant swag at first glance. ▶ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Normal human!

▶ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Yuri is luckily pretty hardy, for all that he pushes himself even when he shouldn't. He's in good shape, medically, though pretty scarred up from fighting with bladed weapons - often against things with many teeth. Due to having a lot of time recently with a healer, though, almost all of the worst scars are faded and old save for one to the side of his stomach that's from a pretty serious stab wound. No, he won't tell you where that one came from. They know what they did.

▶ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Threaten the lives and safety of anyone he perceives as helpless or innocent and he will not shy away from contemplating trying to kill you in cold blood.

Socioeconomic inequality pisses him off.

I wouldn't really say he has any flat-out 'triggers' but if you mean something as fightin' words he'll likely take them as fightin' words.

▶ HUGGING: Absolutely!
▶ KISSING: Yes! It might get weird!
▶ FLIRTING: Yes. Especially chicken. Gay or straight. He plays both versions.
▶ FIGHTING: YES.
▶ INJURING: Yes, but in cases of permanent injury or drawing blood beyond a bloody nose/split lip/gash, please contact me first!
▶ KILLING: Yes, though plotting beforehand is necessary! Please contact me for this.
▶ MIND READING: Yes, though prodding too much with knowledge solely gleaned from it might earn you a fight or intense suspicion.

▶ BACKTAGGING: Until the year 2000.
▶ THREADHOPPING: My limit is 1000 a post. For in-person logs, please either give both players a heads-up or use your logical discretion - are the characters in a public place? Have they made any efforts to make sure no one comes upon them? I'm often up for shenanigans but communication is the basis of all fun RP!
▶ FOURTHWALLING: Preferably not, but if you have an idea for an EXCELLENT TAG, just let me know via contact! I’m weak where split-second moments of crack are involved.
▶ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: When talking OOC, I do have a death anxiety problem as well as OCD/GAD/PD/MDD (lots of letters I know), but if we’re talking specifically about things happening in game I am, to my knowledge, fairly unrufflable and try to be very approachable. If you are ever not sure if I'll be okay with something, just ask! I will not judge you!

▶ ANYTHING ELSE? Again just want to stress that I am never bothered by someone coming to talk to me about anything, even if I take a bit to respond! I work a 9-5 day job that sometimes requires me to afk suddenly for long periods of time, so if there's ever a long dead silence please don't fret and think you did something wrong.
